Dr. Corson: About Me

Education and Work Experience

September 1989 - June 1996

California School of Professional Psychology – Los Angeles, CA
University of Wisconsin – Madison, WI

I received my doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology in 1996. I transferred directly into this Psy.D. program following the completion of my BA in the dual degrees of Psychology and Social Welfare from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in 1992. During the course of my doctoral program at CSPP, I had three full years of practicum and internship experiences working with adults and adolescents in clinics, hospitals and shelters.

July 1996 - June 1997

Reiss-Davis Child Study Center – W. Los Angeles, CA

Upon receiving my doctoral degree, I began my first intensive post-doctoral fellowship year. I received extensive experience with assessing and treating children, parents and families. Reiss-Davis offered a full course load of advanced classroom education and in-depth supervision.

September 1997 - August 1998

Judge Baker Child Study Center – Boston, MA

Following the completion of Reiss-Davis, I embarked on a second post-doctoral fellowship. Judge Baker is affiliated with Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School. I worked with children and adolescents in collaboration with teachers in the integrated Manville therapeutic day school. This was an invaluable early experience of the necessity of working as a team with all those that work with a child in the course of their day to day life.

August 1998 - Current

Professional Summary

Once finished with my pre and post doctoral training years, I became licensed in MA and NH while working at various outpatient clinics, group practice and solo private practice. After a number of years in New England I decided to move to Montana in 2003. Over the years as a licensed Psychologist in Montana, I have worked in two therapeutic boarding schools with hundreds of kids and families, initiated a private practice and started a family of my own with two beautiful children.
